May 26 5th Annual Heart of the Arts Reception and Celebration
Each gallery brings a sampling of the artwork that is displayed in
their various galleries for viewing and enjoying. The event is

May 27 16th Annual Live Your 5K Road Race
The road race will benefit the Senior Center at Lower Village. The
starting gun goes off at 8:15 am from Firehouse Place on Route 35 in
Lower Village, Kennebunk. Great fun-filled family event for runners
and walkers alike. Free T-shirts to the first 250 pre-registered
entrants, along with food and massage. The entry fee for
pre-registered entrants is only $15 (Age 55+, $12) or $18 on race

June 1 Summer Street Stroll
Hosted at Four private homes on Summer Street in Kennebunk to
benefit Child Abuse Prevention Council of York County. Ever wonder
what those gorgeous and historic homes on Summer Street look like on

June 3 Kennebunks Tour de Cure
Bikers can enjoy the breath-taking views of Southern Maine and the
Kennebunks, while supporting a great cause. The Tour is a ride, not
a rave, with routes from 10 miles to 100 miles designed for everyone

Kennebunkport Historical Society Present…
"Paint the Port”
Over 55 well-known artists from Maine, Massachusetts and New
Hampshire will gather in Kennebunkport for the fourth annual “Paint
the Port” fresh paint day and art auction. The public is welcome to
watch as participating artists paint at scenic locations throughout
Kennebunkport and Cape Porpoise. The paintings will then be
auctioned off live that evening, following a cocktail reception with
delectable hors d’oeuvres, at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport.
Proceeds will benefit both the Kennebunkport Historical Society and
Heartwood College of Art.
Among the many well-known artists who have participated in “Paint
the Port” are Anne Gable Allaire, Paul Bonneau, Anne Burnett, Lynne
Blanchard Carr, Mary Anne Cary, Margaret Cummings, Iona Desomond,
Claudette Gamache, Frank Handlen, Dewitt Hardy, Joe Havens, Madeline
Hopkins, Nancy Davis Johnson, Berri Kramer, Janet Ledoux, Stuart
Nudelman, Suzanne Payne, Ellen Pelletier, Ann Marie Therrien, Scott
Tubby, Gwen Wagor, Aloma Wallace, Prentiss Weiss, Susan Wilder,
Richard Winslow, Wade Zahares and others.
Ticket holders will be admitted to the catered reception at
4:00-5:30 and will be given a bidding number for the live auction at
5:30. Tickets to Paint the Port are $15 and may be purchased at
Heartwood College of Art and the Kennebunkport Historical Society.

welcomed and should gather in the parking lot behind Allison’s
Restaurant, Dock Square by 2:45. Revelers will march to Jackie’s in
the Lower Village where prizes will be awarded. Cocoa and cookies
served.
Dec 1 Tree Lighting and Christmas Stroll
Saturday, 5:30 pm at Lower Village. Join us at the corner of
Christensen Lane and Route 35 for the lighting of the Lower Village
Tree with carols by the Kennebunk High School Chamber Singers.
Following the lighting, enjoy the traditional stroll to the
Franciscan Monastery.
